This work presents two pollen diagram of sediment cores sampled first in from the lake ( N 02 º 36'52 '' , O 50º50’41’’) , the banks of the Rio Branco in the state of Roraima and, the second, a tidal flat coastal Amapá ( N 0 ° 29'19 .95 ", O 61 ° 40' 4.33 " ). The core were collected during the dry season of August 2011 and February 2013 by a Russian auger showing 1-3 meters. The samples were properly packed in PVC pipes and conducted a feezer with temperatures around 40C . The matter was sent to the laboratory Analityc BETA for C - 14 dating . The Federal University of Pará samples were physically and chemically treated in the Chemical Oceanography ( LOQ ) and Laboratory of Coastal Dynamics ( Ladić ) laboratory , where they also made the recognition and classification of pollen grains with the aid of the references that the laboratory itself supports ( palinoteca ) and microscopic analysis of pollen production and graphics. There is little information on the role of continental aquatic systems on the paleoclimate record and the resulting spatial representation of the vegetation of their surroundings, so this study and compare the representativeness of the pollen signal in depositional environments of the interior and the coast is necessary. The pollen record from Lake is predominantly vegetation within the drainage network of the lake under study . Therefore , such registration shall preserve the pollen content in a broad enough to allow vegetation to raise considerations about changes in vegetation on a regional scale , rather than the intricacies of the particular dynamics that produce lakes and vegetation dominated by herbs on its banks. In the case of testimony sampled the tidal flat , such registration must have a spatial representation of relatively minor vegetation. The muddy sediments accumulated in this environment should preferably be fixed pollen grains in the air dispersed by the surrounding vegetation and within the littoral zone . Secondly, fixing some of this water tide pollen should occur, however , in this case, these bodies of water flooding only the coastal zone must be silted pollen grain only of vegetation units occurring on the coast , and thus contributing to a relatively limited record of vegetation |
