Thus, the quantitative evaluation of the monthly precipitation was performed by using the climatological normal INMET to areas of the city and IBAMA for forest area compared to the monthly cumulative, where urban areas have a higher quantity of rain relation to forest area, both for the rainy season and dry season for the period. In analyzing the accumulated daily precipitation events were selected for heavy rains, which analyzed meteorological parameters in combination with weather radar reflectivity, where the reflectivity was treated and viewed through the TITAN software and converted into millimeters by Marshall and Palmer relationship (1948), where the information given by weather radar data collected to collude by rain gauges. O presente trabalho objetivou analisar e caracterizar a variabilidade mensal e diária da precipitação observada por pluviômetros e estimada através de radar meteorológico na Amazônia Oriental, durante os meses de fevereiro e julho, para área de cidade e floresta, pois essas áreas possuem paisagens contrastantes, respondendo de forma diferente no quantitativo de precipitação, tanto para o período chuvoso, quanto para o menos chuvoso, independente do sistema meteorológico atuante. Desse modo, a avaliação do quantitativo de precipitação mensal, foi realizada através da utilização da normal climatológica do INMET para as áreas de cidade e do IBAMA para área de floresta em comparação com o acumulado mensal, onde as áreas urbanizadas apresentam maior quantitativo de chuva com relação à área de floresta, tanto para o período chuvoso quanto para o período menos chuvoso. Em analise do acumulado diário de precipitação, foram selecionados eventos de chuvas intensas, onde foram analisados parâmetros meteorológicos em combinação com a refletividade do radar meteorológico, onde esta refletividade foi tratada e visualizada através do software TITAN e convertida em milimetros através da relação Marshall e Palmer (1948), onde as informações fornecidas pelo radar meteorológico são coniventes ao dado coletado pelos pluviômetros. 2019-09-05T13:01:43Z 2019-09-05T13:01:43Z 2012-01-05 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação CAMPOS, Amanda Souza.
