This work deals with the study on the occurrence of fog in International aerodrome Governor Jorge Teixeira de Oliveira, in Porto Velho-Rondônia, during the period 2008 to 2012 (5 years). Schedules data were obtained through the International Code METAR (Meteorological Aerodrome Report) of the meteorological network of airspace control Department (DECEA) Aviation command. The analysis was verified that the formation of Fog occurs more intensely during the rainy season and that mostly have a duration of an hour or two. It was observed that the start times of Fog with most frequently remained between 06:00 and 07:00 in the morning. In this work it was verified that there was a relationship between the variation of precipitation and the variation of the number of hours of Fog, it was verified that the formation also occurred in greater numbers with air temperature around 24°C and 23°C. There are several meteorological factors influencing on aviation, however, some factors such as Fog deserve special attention due to their greater involvement. This justifies the importance of the study of Fog, aiming at its occurrence and frequency analysis in order to identify its main features for flight planning or redirects. |
