Because it is present in the leisure spaces, residences and still be a generator of youth and adults, it is important to investigate how the requirements for culture and life of the peripheral young. With this, we propose new classes in the field of dance in Physical Education class, emphasizing as a way to involve the student, not only in dance, but in also fostering cultural in class. The research was done on the qualitative type, a review of the literature on the subject and a qualitative survey on the Tecnobrega with the agents related to the rhythm and a Physical Education teacher. Research theory and respondents' assertions point to the cultural potential of implementing the rhythm, for reflection on their culture and understanding of local culture. Therefore, being a Physical Education class, a human construction site, such moments can be used to include the rhythm of the culture of Pará. O Tecnobrega é um ritmo dançante paraense que mistura elementos da cultura local com batidas eletrônicas, muito apreciado pelos jovens, especialmente os que residem em periferias. Por estar presente nos espaços de lazer, residências e ainda ser um gerador de renda para jovens e adultos, é importante investigar as contribuições do ritmo para a cultura e vida do jovem periférico. Com isso, propõem-se novas abordagens no conteúdo de dança em aulas de Educação Física, destacando este ritmo como forma de envolver o aluno, não apenas na dança, mas fomentando discussões culturais em classe. A pesquisa desenvolvida foi do tipo qualitativa, dividida em revisão da literatura sobre o tema e levantamento qualitativo sobre o Tecnobrega com os agentes ligados ao ritmo e uma docente de Educação Física. O teor da pesquisa e as afirmações dos respondentes apontam para o potencial poder cultural da implementação desse ritmo, pois estimula a construção de sua identidade cultural e a compreensão da cultura local sobre ele, bem como sobre a produção do ritmo, que é gerador de renda para muitos desses jovens.
