The study has as its defense the fact that Theatro da Paz as an asset that has the potential to be musealized, with the purpose of fostering and intensifying its preservation, considering the expressiveness of its communication actions, highlighting the guided visits promoted by the Institution added to its set of works permanently found in space and presented to the public including the history of the place with the intent to communicate. The results obtained by this work were the proposal of musealization of the theater by means of a museological potentialities study evident in the guided visits considering elements of the communication that discuss museological questions, as well as the obtaining of data that could reveal approximations and distances of this cultural space to museum assets. A presente pesquisa teve por objetivo analisar o Theatro da Paz a partir da perspectiva da Museologia, considerando a musealização como um elemento significativo que proporcione a sua preservação referente às ações de comunicação, tendo como foco as visitas guiadas desenvolvidas pela instituição e a forma como são compreendidas, no que tange ao seu possível processo de musealização. A justificativa do estudo compreende o Theatro da Paz como um patrimônio que apresenta potencial para ser musealizado, com o propósito de fomentar e intensificar sua preservação, levando-se em consideração a expressividade de suas ações de comunicação, destacando-se as visitações guiadas promovidas pela instituição somadas ao seu conjunto de obras permanentemente encontradas no espaço e apresentadas ao público junto à história do local com o intento de comunicar.
