Taking into account that sexuality is part of the life of any human being, being the person with or without the disability, the research seeks to analyze specifically the following questions: What conceptions and constructions were produced by the person with physical deficiency about sexuality? What causes the discomfort in discussing the sexuality of the person with physical disability? From a qualitative research with an instrument the collection of data by interviews and bibliographical collections from authors such as: Foucault (1988), Maia (2011) and (2006), Silva (1987), Paula, Regen e Lopez (2011), Aranha (2003) among others. The great difficulty of the physically deficiency person to conceive sexuality as being something natural and intrinsic to any human being is linked to the discrimination that these people suffer and that causes them to not develop self-confidence and appreciation of their body, this generates a psychosocial obstacle that consequently prevents them from being inserted in a social environment thus delaying the exercise of sex life. Talking about sexuality with children, for a significant portion of parents is uncomfortable, this discomfort is even greater when it comes to parents of people with disabilities. Whereas, the idea of asexuality linked to people with disabilities is still very much present in the family environment. In order to adequately contemplate sexuality education, it is necessary for parents, teachers and the disabled person himself to have a broad notion of sexuality to abandon prejudice and discrimination directed at people with disabilities, since the sexual impulses of pleasure, desire and eroticism due to sexuality deserve to be known and preserved, regardless of the limitations existing with respect to the material body. It would also be interesting to provide a training in the field of special education, specifically in the area of pedagogy, on education for sexuality to teachers, since they still have difficulties dealing with sexuality with people with. A presente pesquisa intitulada “Sexualidade e Deficiência Física: Um olhar reflexivo sobre a sexualidade da pessoa com deficiência física” teve o intuito de compreender como a sexualidade da pessoa com deficiência física é vista por ela mesma e pela sociedade? Levando em consideração que a sexualidade faz parte da vida de qualquer ser humano, sendo ele/a pessoa com deficiência ou não, a pesquisa busca analisar especificamente as seguintes questões: Que concepções e construções foram produzidas pela pessoa com deficiência física acerca da sexualidade? O que causa o desconforto em debater sobre a sexualidade da/com pessoa com deficiência física? A pesquisa foi desenvolvida a partir de abordagem qualitativa e com o uso de entrevistas como instrumento para coleta de dados e o levantamento bibliográfico a partir de autores como: Foucault (1988), Maia (2011) e (2006), Silva (1987), Paula, Regen e Lopez (2011), Aranha (2003) entres outros. Os principais resultados da pesquisa apontam que há uma grande dificuldade da pessoa com deficiência física de conceber a sexualidade como sendo algo intrínseco a qualquer ser humano. Essa visão sobre a sua sexualidade está ligada a discriminação que essas pessoas sofrem, o que faz com que elas não desenvolvam a autoconfiança e a valorização de seu corpo, isto gera um obstáculo psicossocial que por consequência as impedem de serem inseridas em um meio social dificultando assim, o exercício da sua vida sexual. Falar sobre sexualidade com os filhos (as), para uma parcela significativa dos pais é desconfortável, esse desconforto é ainda maior quando se trata de pais de pessoas com deficiência. Visto que, a ideia de assexualidade atrelada à pessoa com deficiência ainda está muito presente no ambiente familiar. Para contemplar a educação para a sexualidade de forma adequada é necessário que os pais, professores e a própria pessoa com deficiência física tenham uma ampla noção de sexualidade para então, abandonar o preconceito e a discriminação direcionados às pessoas com deficiência, pois os impulsos sexuais de prazer, desejo e erotismo decorrente da sexualidade merecem ser conhecidos e vivenciados, independente das limitações existentes com relação ao corpo material.
