Resumo:
This work approaches some violence in the school environment, giving a brief analysis of some concepts of violence and its typologies, with emphasis on how violence manifests itself in the school space. The main objective of this study is to analyze the implications of school violence in the teaching-learning process, making a theoretical overview of the concept of violence and its typologies, and specific objectives: identify types of violence and analyze the consequences of school violence for the process teaching learning. The methodology is qualitative approach. As a tool, the bibliographical research used as a reference the contributions of Araújo (2004), Abramovay (2002, 2015), Minayo (2018), Carvalho (2010), Levisky (2010), Stelko-Pereira and Williams, for their relevant knowledge about the subject. Regarding the results, it was evidenced that violence is a social phenomenon, therefore, it is present in the school space, and it causes countless implications for the process of teaching students' learning. In this way, I conclude that the violence presented in the school environment tends to have several implications, such as low self-esteem, loss of focus in the study, low income, school repetition and consequently school dropout, which also cause discontent among affected students in relation to the space that before anything, should instigate its students the search of knowledge.
