This analysis included bibliographic and documentary information, fieldwork for photographic recording and georeferencing of the variables mentioned, as well as the use of mobile applications. The systematization of the collected information and its representations are represented in maps and graphs. The results show that the neighborhood presents its flat terrain and confirms that the sanitation problems come from the precarious infrastructures and/or absence or inefficiency of public management that the municipality as a whole presents, putting itself in second to last in the ranking of the best Brazilian cities. To live. Less than 1% of the population is served by basic services that are rights guaranteed in the country's legal system. In recent years, the neighborhood has shown strong demographic growth, reflecting on the urbanization that followed in a disorderly and unplanned manner, especially on the environment. The study also demonstrated the need for completion of unfinished works. And environmental management should start from a full diagnosis of the problems from local studies related to drainage and solid waste collection. These actions could reduce risks of contact with contaminated water and improve the quality of life of the population. O presente estudo tem como objetivo evidenciar através de algumas importantes variáveis ambientais (esgotamento sanitário, coleta seletiva, sistema de abastecimento de água, pontos de alagamentos) os serviços de saneamento básico no bairro da Cidade Nova, município de Ananindeua – PA, Região Metropolitana de Belém, Nordeste do estado do Pará. Tal análise contou com informações bibliográficas e documental, trabalho de campo para registro fotográfico e o georreferenciamento das variáveis citadas, assim como também a utilização de aplicativos para dispositivo móvel. A sistematização das informações coletadas e suas representações estão representadas em mapas e gráficos. Os resultados mostram que o bairro apresenta seu terreno plano e confirma que os problemas de saneamento provém das precárias infraestruturas e/ou ausência ou ineficiência da gestão pública que o município como um todo apresenta, colocando o próprio em penúltimo lugar no ranking das melhores cidades brasileiras para se viver. Menos de 1% da população é atendida pelos serviços básicos que são direitos garantidos no ordenamento jurídico do país. O bairro apresentou nos últimos anos forte crescimento demográfico, com reflexos na urbanização que seguiu de forma desordenada e sem planejamento, sobretudo ambiental. O estudo também demonstrou a necessidade de conclusão de obras inacabadas. E a gestão ambiental deve partir de diagnóstico completo dos problemas a partir de estudos locais relacionados à drenagem e coleta de resíduos sólidos.
