One of the main environmental problems is the huge amount of solid and liquid household waste produced on the planet, especially when associated with the non-appropriate reuse of these materials due to rampant consumption, waste and incorrect disposal of garbage. This study aims to support the identification and mapping of the various points of inadequate garbage disposal (Solid Urban Waste) using geoprocessing as a tool, on Outeiro Island. The study was carried out on Ilha de Outeiro, district of the city of Belém-PA, located approximately 35 km from the center of Belém, being the closest island to the capital of Pará, connected to the mainland by the Governador Enéas Martins Pinheiro Bridge. In total, a total of 30 points distributed by the neighborhoods were identified: Brasília, São João do Outeiro, Água Boa, Fama and Fidélis. It was possible to map and identify all discharge points through the geoprocessing tool, in addition to identifying possible aggressions to the effluents. It is necessary to intensify actions aimed at the selective collection of household waste and increase the demand for the number of trucks that collect household waste, which would significantly reduce the amount of accumulated waste and the environmental impacts generated by the evictions.
