The sport phenomenon has been object of study of several areas of knowledge, in particular
by Physical education due to the strong entrance of the phenomenon in the schools. This study
seeks to identify, what meanings the students have given to the phenomenon in the school
context. Thus, we will try to better understand the process of production of meanings from the
theoretical model of the semantic fields to then consistently reflect the problem issue of this
work: What is the production of meanings for the sports practice of students of the handball
team of 15 to 17 years of college Success? As a general goal, this study seeks to: Investigate
the production of meanings for the sports practice of handball team students from 15 to 17
years of college success. Having specific objectives: 1) bibliographical review on sport and
the theoretical Model of Semantic Fields. 2) Identify what meanings are produced for the
sports practice of students of the handball team of 15 to 17 years of Success. 3) Analyze the
meanings found from the Theoretical Model of the Semantic Fields. Methodologically we
organize the work in three chapters, the first two of theoretical reference and the last one
where we present and analyze the data to solve the problem. We approach theoretically the
sport phenomenon from the work of Assis (2010), Bracht (2009) e Khunz (1994). For the
process of production of meanings we mainly use the Lins (2012). As for the approach we use
a mixed perspective, both qualitative and quantitative, being a study characterized as field
research and analyzing the results with the theoretical model Lins, (2012). From the
production of meanings for the sports practice of the students, we point out that they are data
that ideas such as the formation of citizen and social mobility are predominant in the
imaginary of the students of the team. And that income in the form of achievements and
health benefits, as well as therapeutic benefits appear to a lesser extent. The meanings given
to practice in a certain way approximate the objective of the sport phenomenon in the school
dimension, but the meanings are produced from a very close matrix which can lead to
confusion for the students. |
