The whole activity of professionals in the area of health requires specificity of knowledge, so that there are the courses of improvement and the post-graduate studies; these are inserted in the context of continued education where the professional updates their knowledge. In the emergency department and Pediatric Emergency necessary that professionals who work in care develop greater technical-scientific assistance. This study had as general objective to characterize the professional profile of nurses who work in emergency and pediatric emergency room of the Hospital and Municipal Emergency Mário Pinotti, located in the metropolitan area of Belém do Pará; as well as pitch the level of qualification and training of professional nurses working in the unit of pediatric emergency care. The research methodology used is characterized by a quantitative approach, a descriptive-exploratory study, by means of numerical data collection, organization and classification presented in tables and charts. The result of the analysis showed the presence the majority of women in the sector in question, the majority of graduate, and the same value continuing education for qualification of skilled labor. It is concluded that the main objective of which was to identify the professional profile of nurses who work in emergency and Pediatric Emergency Room of the Hospital Emergency Room Hall Mário Pinotti was reached, as well as the degree of training and interest in the pursuit of continued education through post-graduate courses and professional improvement. |
