Resumo:
This Course Completion Work (CBT) addresses important aspects of guaranteeing religious assistance to a person deprived of liberty, as provided for in the Law on Criminal Executions (LEP) and other legislation. It is also intended to emphasize the importance of the implementation of religious assistance as an effective resuscitation method. It is understood that the altruistic feeling that religion provides is essential for the re-education of the person in deprivation of liberty. The present work has as objective to know the Beneficent Association of Social Capelania and the actions developed by the same in the Cárcere Paraense. It was tried to answer the following guiding questions: What is the Beneficent Association of Social Chaplaincy? What more significant educational actions were developed by the said Social Association in the Provisional Detention Center of Icoaraci aiming at the reintegration of the prisoner of the Penal System in society? This is a case study. The approach is a qualitative research. The techniques used for data collection followed the following structure: bibliographic review, interview with the president of the Association and documentary research. It is concluded that religion is a means that has become effective in relation to the resocialization of the person deprived of freedom, which is well demonstrated in the actions of ABECAS.
