The chemistry’s laboratory is a place for conducting experimental classes, and, concomitantly, for research development, although they are environments which presents a lot of risks to its users. The comprehension and posteriorly evaluation of these risks are essential for the well working of its places. A way of minimize the risks is the making and using of the Manual of Good Laboratory Practices - GLP of the chemistry laboratory. This instrument is useful as a guide on how to proceed with less damaging in the experimental activities. The currently work was made at the Chemistry Laboratory from the University Campus of Ananindeua of the Federal University of Pará, with the aim of evaluate the risks that the users are exposed and elaborate/apply the Manual of Good Laboratory Practices. After the observation period and information gathering the manual was made with the regulatory norms and in the laboratory specifications, part of the manual was applied in two graduation classes from de Campus, which evidenced its relevance on the classes and suggests its constant use. Although, it was verified that other actions, like the structural adequacy of the laboratory, packing and the discard of reagents and glassware, users training and in addition, others need to be implemented to ensure the reduction of risks involved in chemical laboratory procedures. |
