Resumo:
Litopenaeus vannamei dominates the world market as the most farmed shrimp in the world, thanks to its rusticity in tolerating areas beyond its ideal. This rustic character ends up subjecting L. vannamei to various forms of stress, due to the lack of knowledge of the breeders. This work was carried out to study oxidative stress factors from salinity variations in shrimp L. vannmei oligohaline crops. Being these forms of stress the organism cause molecular oxidation and production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). These EROs can be measured using cause and effect biomarkers, the ones selected for this review being GST and LPO, respectively. However, in order not to compromise the animal's immune system, some ways to mitigate this damage can be obtained through an appropriate ionic concentration. Parallel to this, a concentration of lipids, carbohydrates and proteins in the diet are crucial for the survival and growth of this species that has osmoregulation an important tool for survival.
