In this context, the present work aimed to document the impacts of the low river water pollution in Abaetetuba - PA that affect the São Pedro community, due to the great influences of environmental impacts and affecting food sovereignty. For data collection, participatory observation was made with semi-structured interviews in the form of questionnaires, photographic records and the use of geoprocessing for map production. The main community is to cultivate cassava, but intercropped in the form of agroforestry yard with coffee, corn and kale, in addition to fishing and shrimp harvesting, but they are exploited subsistence resources that have been suffering yield changes due to impacts on the river. Water has a symbolic value and certainly without it and of good quality the community will not live, in this sense there is need for urgent active public policy intervention that enables the community population to experience the use of this fundamental natural resource for life. A pesquisa tem como recorte espacial a comunidade ribeirinha “São Pedro”, em Abaetetuba-PA, que vem sofrendo impactos ambientais de empresas e acidentes de cargas marítimas pelo seu entorno, atingindo assim a soberania alimentar da comunidade, uma vez que estes necessitam da água para seus cultivares, atendimento de suas necessidades vitais e fisiológicas, e alimentares, porém enfrentam uma restrição com relação ao uso deste recurso natural cada vez mais com influencias de poluição. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar os impactos da poluição da água do “baixo rio” em Abaetetuba – PA que atingem a comunidade São Pedro, em função de grandes influências de impactos ambientais e que afetam a soberania alimentar. Para coleta de dados foi feito observação participativa, com entrevistas semiestruturadas na forma de questionários, registros fotográficos e uso do geoprocessamento para produção de mapas, utilizando o QGIS 3.10. A comunidade tem como principal cultivar a mandioca, porém consorciadas de forma de quintal agroflorestal com café, milho e couve, além da pesca e captura de camarão, porém são recursos explorados de subsistência que vem sofrendo alterações de rendimento devido aos impactos causados no rio.
