In the sixteenth century, the school received a new impetus: the Protestant Reformation.
Luther's letters and sermons to encourage both princes to create schools and parents to send
their children to school beyond the pedagogical part of the reform in order to put the bible in
the hands of the people put the school on a new level in the locations it has reached.
Organized by Melanchthon, then restructured in the didactic Comenius to the school in the
West now extends in its studies and not only in religious, but scientists. However, with the
advancement of science and the new idea of "neutrality in education" have sought to dissolve
the space of religion in school. Presented as ideology, religion restructures itself to other
pedagogical environments and the school goes on the search for values and authority outside
of religion. However, her quest in the modern age for her own principles may have set in the
way she criticized. |
