Organized by Melanchthon, then restructured in the didactic Comenius to the school in the West now extends in its studies and not only in religious, but scientists. However, with the advancement of science and the new idea of "neutrality in education" have sought to dissolve the space of religion in school. Presented as ideology, religion restructures itself to other pedagogical environments and the school goes on the search for values and authority outside of religion. However, her quest in the modern age for her own principles may have set in the way she criticized. No século XVI, a escola recebe um novo impulso: à reforma protestante. As cartas e sermões de Lutero com o fim de incentivar tanto os príncipes a criarem escolas como aos pais para mandarem seus filhos à escola além da parte pedagógica da reforma com o fim de colocar a bíblia na mão do povo colocou a escola em um novo patamar nas localidades por ela alcançadas. Organizada por Melanchthon, depois reestruturada na didática Comenius à escola no ocidente agora se amplia em seus estudos e não somente em âmbitos religiosos, mas científicos. Contudo, com o avanço da ciência e a nova ideia de “neutralidade na educação” procuraram dissolver o espaço da religião na escola. Apresentada como ideologia, a religião se reestrutura em outros ambientes pedagógicos e a escola segue seu rumo à procura de valores e autoridade fora da religião.
