Resumo:
This article is presented as a course conclusion paper, a partial requirement to obtain a degree in Pedagogy from the Universidade Federal do Pará. It aims to address malnutrition and hunger as factors that make learning difficult and explain its consequences in education. Conceptualizing malnutrition, hunger and learning shows the relationship between them and how malnutrition affects the student's physical and cognitive development, and is therefore a serious short-term and / or long-term consequence. The importance of the school is also discussed through a qualitative research in a state school located in the city of Belém, seeking to know the intervention in the clinical picture of the student and the attitude of the teachers regarding malnutrition. It shows how malnutrition affects the student and the importance of school and state in intervention.
