The purpose of the analysis demands the issue of racial prejudice, that is, racism, based on social relations of character and to know, through narrative, the truth of the less favored. Therefore, highlighting the denunciation of social ills in regionalist literature. The research had as methodology to the bibliographical analysis under the contributions of theorists Salles Vicente (1988); Maria Giacominis (1988) and Angela Daves (2016), among others. Therefore, an approach is taken about racial prejudice, social inequalities, lifestyle and the treatment imposed by a prejudiced society. O presente trabalho tem como tema "D. Amélia: o preconceito racial em chove nos campos de Cachoeira". O objetivo desse trabalho é analisar o preconceito racial na literatura de Dalcídio Jurandir (1909-1979), na obra “Chove nos Campos de Cachoeira”. O intuito da análise demanda para a questão do preconceito racial, ou seja, o racismo, com base nas relações sociais de personagem e conhecer, por meio da narrativa, a veracidade dos menos favorecidos, dando-se destaque para a denúncia das mazelas sociais na literatura regionalista. A pesquisa teve como metodologia à análise bibliográfica sob as contribuições dos teóricos Salles Vicente (1988); Maria Giacomini (1988) e Angela Daves (2016), entre outros, pautadas em uma abordagem qualitativa.
