Este artigo apresenta uma análise, tendo como corpus dezenoveocorrências identificadas como metaplasmos contemporâneos apresentados nosposts de usuários da rede social digital Facebook. O estudo revela que devido agrande utilização dessa plataforma de comunicação, há uma variação linguísticamuito atual, todavia, apesar deste fenômeno ter ocorrido na passagem do latim parao português, ainda na atualidade continuam se manifestando e transformando aLíngua Portuguesa.
