The theme of Environmental History and cultural and environmental Heritage is relevant to our society as a whole, as it is possible to debate questions about identity, culture, memory and preservation of a city or even a green space in the middle of the urban center. Parque Antônio Danúbio addresses as a whole important issues not only for its own preservation, but also for the city of Ananindeua as a whole, concerned with its interior and exterior; not only in saving the place in the past, but also in the present and the future. A seguinte pesquisa aborda a História do Parque Ambiental Antônio Danúbio, situado na cidade de Ananindeua – PA, desde o seu processo de criação e as atividades que o mesmo oferece em seu espaço, além de sua potencialidade como patrimônio ambiental do município. A temática da História Ambiental e do Patrimônio cultural e ambiental é pertinente para a nossa sociedade como um todo, pois é possível debater questões sobre identidade, cultura, memória e preservação de uma cidade ou até mesmo de um espaço verde em meio ao centro urbano.
