Resumo:
This work has as its theme the physical-chemical analysis of artesian wells of the Monte Horebe community in the city of Acará. The study aims to analyze three distinct points in order to perform physical-chemical and bacteriological analysis of a well in Vila Monte Horebe, in the well of Escola Monte Horebe and in the school drinking fountain, in order to verify the potability of the water consumed by the community . The samples were taken to the Central Laboratory of the State of Pará - Lacen considering some parameters to be analyzed, the taste, pH, total solids, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, biological oxygen demand, apparent color, free residual chlorine, iron, sulfate, nitrate, nitrite, total ammoniacal nitrogen, total alkalinity, odor, conductivity, acidity, thermotolerant coliforms and total coliforms. The results of the analyzes were compared with the reference values of the Ministry of Health Ordinance No. 2914 of December 12, 2011, which is used as a basis for verifying water consumption. It concludes with the research showing that the results of the analysis obtained in the artesian wells and in the drinking fountain of the Community school demonstrate the non-use of chlorine in the water, which could cause disinfection (destruction of pathogenic microorganisms), which with comparing it Ministry of Health Ordinance 2914 is completely inappropriate for chlorine analysis.
