To obtain these proposed objectives, the literature review methodology was used in articles, theses, dissertations, focused on this theme. According to the researches analyzed, the teaching of physics faces a very difficult reality, as the classes are still predominantly theoretical, with expository classes, unattractive and far from the students’ reality, making them not interested in the subject, as the classes they come down to the application of formulas and concepts. As a result, researchers and educators have advocated the use of experimentation as an effective tool for stimulating student interest in the discipline. In general, experimentation is rarely present in Physics classes, due to the lack of laboratory, equipment, and teacher training, or when it is used it is wrongly used. Thus, one of the alternatives defended by the authors to face the lack of equipment and also the lack of a laboratory, is the planning and execution of low-cost experimental activities. Experimentation in teaching physics is still a challeng to be overcome. Despite this, most of the Works analyzed showed a poitive rather than a negative view of expeimentation in teaching physics. O objetivo deste trabalho é abordar e analisar a questão do uso da experimentação no ensino de física, com propostas de experimentos de baixo custo, com o intuito de estimular os professores a utilizar os experimentos nas aulas de física, e também de promover a participação ativa dos alunos nas aulas. Para obter esses objetivos propostos foi utilizada a metodologia de revisão bibliográfica em artigos, teses, dissertações, voltados para esta temática. De acordo com as pesquisas analisadas o ensino de física enfrenta uma realidade muito difícil, pois as aulas ainda são predominantemente teóricas, com aulas expositivas, pouco atrativas e longe da realidade dos alunos, fazendo com que eles não se interessem pela disciplina, pois as aulas se resumem a aplicação de fórmulas e conceitos. Em função disso, pesquisadores e educadores tem defendido o uso da experimentação, como uma ferramenta eficaz por estimular o interesse do aluno pela disciplina. Em geral, a experimentação raramente está presente nas aulas de física, devido à falta de laboratório, de equipamentos, e de preparo dos professores, ou quando é utilizada é de forma equivocada. Com isso, uma das alternativas defendida pelos autores para enfrentar a ausência de equipamentos e também a falta de laboratório, está no planejamento e na execução de atividades experimentais de baixo custo. A experimentação no ensino de física ainda é um desafio a ser vencido.
