Resumo:
Deals with the effectiveness of the Access to Information Act (Law No. 12,527 of 18 November 2011), from its legislation by December 2015 in three public hospitals in the city of Belém-PA. Presents the evaluation carried out by Brazil Transparent scale and identifies the related legislation applied in the city of Bethlehem and in the State of Pará. We emphasize the training and awareness of public servants acting in compliance with the requests for information by the citizen. Addresses a new playing field for librarians with access to public information. The methodology used is exploratory, with design for the bibliographic and documentary research. Data collection was conducted through technical reports and questions directed to the e-mail and telephone responsible public agency. The results presented reflect the reality of the Citizens Information Service each public hospital searched. The conclusions of this study point the inefficiency of the service offered by municipal and state governments, while the federal service, even with a failure, can be considered as the following example. Lack librarian working in the access to information in government services is a gap that can be filled, with the opening of hiring theseprofessionals by governments.
