Study on the work of the librarian In the informational space, before the transformations that the technologies of information and communication (TICs) have brought to the modern world. Thus, the general objective was to analyze which ICTs are most used in UFPA and CESUPA libraries. In order to do so, we initially identified the TICs used in the libraries to meet the informational needs of the user, verified the performance of the reference librarian as mediator of the information, using the TICs, as well as the use of TICs in the UFPA and CESUPA libraries. The methodology adopted was bibliographical and field research, for which interviews were applied to UFPA and CESUPA librarians. As a result, it was observed that in the information units surveyed, there is a commitment to ensure that the librarian actively participates in the information age and its technological resources. Thus, it is observed that in libraries of UFPA and CESUPA are implemented technological supports, so that librarians can keep in constant learning, seeking a proactive stance in the cybernetic world of communication. Finally, it is concluded that the ICTs corroborate to meet the information needs of the user, ratifying that, through the use of ICTs, the reference librarian promotes mediation more effectively. |
