For this, we will see the basic the oryof Linear Algebra giving, whenever possible, ageometric approach to the presented concepts. Este trabalho consiste no estudo de formas bilineares, funções que a cada par de vetores em um espaço vetorial associa um número real de modo que uma vez fixado o primeiro vetor, a função seja uma transformação linear em relação ao segundo vetor, e vice-versa, para o reconhecimento de cônicas em R2 e superfície sem R3, a partir da diagonalização da matriz associada à forma bilinear e mudanças de coordenadas.
