For the collection of information, a pedagogical intervention work was carried out in a 3rd year high school class of a State school in the city of Terra Alta – PA, subdivided into two moments, the diagnosis and the intervention itself. This second part followed the steps suggested by Polya (1995) in the process of elaboration and problem solving. The results point to the importance of differentiated methodologies aimed at arousing curiosity and promoting better understanding of certain content. Problem solving proved to be an alternative both for organizing pedagogical work and for learning geometry. A pesquisa levanta contribuições trazendo a Resolução de Problemas no ensinar e aprender Geometria Espacial no Ensino Médio, cujo objetivo é descrever os efeitos que o uso da Resolução de Problemas tem no desenvolvimento ensinar e aprender este conteúdo. Para a coleta das informações, foi realizado um trabalho de intervenção pedagógica em uma turma de 3º ano do Ensino Médio de uma Escola Estadual na cidade de Terra Alta – PA, subdividido em dois momentos, o diagnóstico e a intervenção propriamente dita. Esta segunda parte seguiu as etapas sugeridas por Polya (1995) no processo de elaboração e resolução de problemas. Os resultados apontam a importância de metodologias diferenciadas com intuito e despertar a curiosidade e promover a melhor compreensão de determinados conteúdo.
