Through images, the article documents the process of research and exchange among students. The study proposes a reflection on how the educational experience is transforming and works as a bridge and window to the world. The focus of the research is the students of São Sebastião who through the drawings could transpose their perceptions of the space in which they live and how they recognize in him. In analyzing this process we realized that the traditional knowledge allied to the contents proposed by the actions of the educational program of the Goeldi Museum in Caxiuanã enabled these students bases to unite science, art and the experience in their localities and to create elements that, besides valuing the culture strengthened their identities. The key point of the interaction process is creativity and affection. Entre 2016 e 2017, a conexão entre o Museu Goeldi e o Stepping Stones Museum For Children, possibilitou uma experiência educativa que uniu estudantes da escola São Sebastião, na Floresta Nacional de Caxiuanã (Pará-Brasil), com estudantes americanos da escola Fairchild Wheeler, de Connecticut-Estados Unidos. Através de imagens, o artigo documenta o processo de investigação e troca entre estudantes. O estudo propõe uma reflexão sobre como a experiência educativa é transformadora e funciona como ponte e janela para o mundo. O foco da investigação são os estudantes de São Sebastião que através dos desenhos puderam transpor suas percepções do espaço em que vivem e como se reconhecem nele. Ao analisar este processo percebemos que o conhecimento tradicional aliado aos conteúdos propostos pelas ações do programa educativo do Museu Goeldi em Caxiuanã possibilitaram a esses estudantes bases para unir a ciência, arte e a vivência em suas localidades e criar elementos que, além de valorizar a cultura local, fortaleceram suas identidades.
