The objective of this study is to understand the didactic-pedagogical work that the hospital pedagogue develops in the context of teaching and learning processes in the hospital environment. Methodologically, qualitative research was carried out in the bibliographic and documentary scope, as well as interviews. Highlighting the educational actions that were created to serve the scalped children who are inside the Espaço Acolher, given all the fragility, low self-esteem, fear and anguish they feel. Therefore, it is possible to observe the benefits, both in the learning of these children and in the emotional and social aspects, that the work of the educator can provide to these children who are undergoing treatment. O presente estudo se assenta no âmbito da Pedagogia Hospitalar e visa compreender o papel do pedagogo no ambiente não escolar, bem como ressaltar a importância da mesma para crianças que se submetem a períodos longos de tratamento decorrente ao escalpelamento, podendo assim se ausentar por algum tempo da escola e do seu ambiente familiar. O Objetivo desse estudo é compreender o trabalho didático-pedagógico que o pedagogo hospitalar desenvolve no âmbito dos processos de ensino e aprendizagem no ambiente hospitalar. Metodologicamente realizouse a pesquisa qualitativa no âmbito bibliográfico e documental, bem como a realização de entrevistas. Destacando as ações educacionais que foram criadas para atender as crianças escalpeladas que se encontram dentro do Espaço Acolher, haja vista toda fragilidade, baixa autoestima, medo e angustia que as mesmas sentem.
