This article refers to anxiety in adolescents in the school context, considering that it is a very common problem nowadays that affects the learning of most adolescents in this condition. Mental health problems affect an estimated 1 billion people worldwide. It is estimated that 14% of this number are adolescents, with the prevalence of anxiety cases according to data from the 2022 World Mental Health Report. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze how anxiety interferes with student learning and performance adolescents in the school environment, raising reflection on the need for this approach within schools. Therefore, a qualitative research was carried out, of a bibliographic and documentary nature, using the contributions of authors such as Felício and Silveira, and data from the World Health Organization (WHO). At the conclusion of this study, it was found that anxiety in the school context can be aggravated if there is negligence in its treatment. On the other hand, it revealed that its impacts can be mitigated with the promotion of mental health in schools. |
