This study aimed to identify the CDW management scenario generated in the city of Tucuruí. The methodology used in this work consisted in literature review, realized to give embasement to the topic under study, field survey, held in government agencies, construction companies, among others, to obtain information related to the management of CDW generated in the city, following these interviews it was held the construction of the current scenario of CDW irregular disposal areas, after the analysis of the municipal scenario it was suggested a proposal according to the management CDW resolution CONAMA n 307/2002. The data required for the study was obtained through formal and informal interviews; photographic records and field visits. In view of data obtained it was found that the city does not perform an effective management of their waste in disagreement with the prevailing legislation, is evident the lack of environmental awareness through the agents involved. This study shows the actual situation of the generation and deposition of the CDW in the city, being an important tool in the municipal government to find solutions that benefit the society and the environment. A geração dos Resíduos da Construção e Demolição (RCD) representa um problema que se agrava com o crescente adensamento das cidades e a falta de espaço para a sua destinação final. O presente estudo teve por finalidade identificar o cenário do gerenciamento de RCD gerados no município de Tucuruí. A metodologia adotada no trabalho consistiu na revisão bibliográfica, realizada para dar embasamento ao tema em estudo, levantamento de campo, realizadas em órgãos do poder público, construtoras, entre outros, para obter informações referentes ao gerenciamento dos RCD gerados no município, após estas entrevistas foi realizada a construção do cenário atual de áreas de disposição irregular de RCD, após a análise do cenário do município, foi sugerida uma proposta segundo a Resolução CONAMA nº 307/2002, de gestão dos RCD. Os dados necessários para a realização do estudo foram obtidos através de entrevistas formais e informais; registros fotográficos e visitas em campo. Em virtude dos dados obtidos verificou-se que o município não realiza uma gestão eficaz de seus resíduos, em desacordo com as legislações vigentes, é evidente a falta de conscientização ambiental por parte dos agentes envolvidos no processo.
