Kaizen is an "umbrella" that covers all the improvement tools, so taking the maximum benefit that each one offers and allowing the adequacy to the different types of situation. Therefore, it consists in the execution of this methodology, at the Laboratory of Thermal and Fluids of the Federal University of Pará-Tucuruí Campus, the implementation of this work occurred with the use of the Brainstorming and 5S tools, these allow to organize a workplace to make it more efficient in quality and in productivity. Essentially, revitalizing the laboratory, adapting it to give the appropriate support to the mechanical engineering course and the Campus, since the university laboratories are much important to exercise the skills and to approximate the theoretical content of the reality for the student. The results of this study has evidenced an increase in the levels of quality, conservation of the environment and collection, more agility in the activities performed on the place, advances in the procedures, besides ensuring the safety and satisfaction of the users. Este trabalho é fundamentado na metodologia de origem Japonesa, o Kaizen, que por sua vez, é um plano estratégico que ao longo do tempo, passa a ser incorporado na rotina, contribuindo para a conquista da qualidade total e tendo como vantagem o fato de provocar mudanças comportamentais em todos os responsáveis e usuários do ambiente trabalhado e incentivar a cultura da disciplina. Kaizen é um “guarda-chuva” que abrange todas as ferramentas de melhoria, tirando o máximo proveito do que cada uma oferece e permitindo a adequação aos mais diversos tipos de situação. Portanto, este consiste na execução desta metodologia, no Laboratório de Térmicas e Fluídos da Universidade Federal do Pará- Campus Tucuruí, a implementação deste trabalho se deu com o uso das ferramentas Brainstorming e 5S, estas permitem organizar um local de trabalho, a fim de torná-lo mais eficiente na qualidade e na produtividade. Essencialmente, revitalizando o laboratório, adequando-o para dar o devido suporte ao curso de Engenharia Mecânica e ao Campus, visto que os laboratórios da faculdade são de suma importância para exercitar as habilidades e aproximar o conteúdo teórico da realidade para o aluno.
