Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study, prospective and analytical study which applied a questionnaire to pediatricians and/or neonatologists working in neonatal unit of FSCMPA knowledge about the diagnostic test, screening for gestational age and weight at birth, which most serious complication and weeks after birth is ideal for the examination of retinopathy of prematurity. The statistical tests were done by the software BioEstat 5. Results: There were 38 doctors, the average age of them was 42 years. Minimum age 30 maximum of 60 years, 7.89% males and 92.11% females; 34.21% 65.79% were pediatricians and neonatologists, the average performance in the neonatal unit was FSCMPA 11.5 years, all the respondents reported having knowledge about what is retinopathy of prematurity; in relation to the diagnostic examination 89.47% responded that the mapping of the retina, also 89.47% responded that the primary retinal complications; 60 , 53% answered that request the examination only in the diagnosis of retinopathy of prematurity FSCMPA, while 36.84% of the newborns request in FSCMPA and outside this, 100% of those interviewed were unanimous about the obligation of endoscopic diagnosis of retinopathy of prematurity in nurseries; in relation to screening from that weight would be important to perform the diagnostic test, 42.10% in ≤ 2,000 g; regarding screening and diagnostic gestational age, 60.53% answered ≤ 37 weeks, about which week after birth is indicated the exam, 86.84% responded in the fourth week, taking into account weight and gestational age together 31.57% got both indications for screening, only 10.53% knew the weight, 28.95% got only gestational age 28.95% and missed the two screening parameters; Conclusion: The study proved relevant by virtue of showing that pediatricians and / or neonatologists working in neonatal unit FSCMPA not have adequate knowledge of triage is an RN has an opportunity to present retinopathy of prematurity or the guidelines established by the institution are not strictly followed. Objetivos: Avaliar o grau de conhecimento dos pediatras e/ou neonatologistas com atuação na unidade neonatal da Fundação Santa Casa de Misericórdia do Pará (FSCMPA) sobre ROP, quanto ao diagnóstico e conduta. Métodos: Este trabalho é um estudo transversal, prospectivo e analítico o qual aplicou-se questionário aos médicos pediatras e/ou neonatologistas que atuam na Unidade Neonatal de FSCMPA acerca do conhecimento sobre exame diagnóstico, triagem em relação a idade gestacional (IG) e peso ao nascimento, complicação mais grave e qual semana após o nascimento é a ideal para realização do exame da ROP. Todo processamento estatístico foi realizado sob o suporte computacional do pacote bioestatístico BioEstat versão 5. Resultados: Foram avaliados 38 médicos, a média de idade dos mesmos foi de 42 anos. A idade mínima de 30 máxima de 60 anos; 7,89% do sexo masculino e 92,11% do feminino; 34,21% eram pediatras e 65,79% neonatologistas; o tempo médio de atuação na unidade neonatal da FSCMPA foi de 11,5 anos; todos os profissionais entrevistados responderam ter conhecimento sobre o que é ROP; em relação ao exame diagnóstico 89,47% responderam ser através do mapeamento da retina; também 89,47% responderam ser descolamento de retina a principal complicação; 60,53% responderam que solicitam o exame diagnóstico de ROP somente na FSCMPA, enquanto que 36,84% solicitam nos RN’s da FSCMPA e também fora dessa; 100% dos entrevistados foram unânimes sobre a obrigatoriedade da realização do exame diagnóstico da ROP nos berçários; em relação à triagem a partir de que peso estaria indicada a realização do exame diagnóstico, 42,10% em ≤ 2.000g; sobre a triagem diagnóstica quanto a IG, 60,53% responderam ≤ 37 semanas; sobre qual semana após o nascimento é indicada a realização do exame, 86,84% responderam na quarta semana; levando-se em consideração peso e IG conjuntamente 31,57% acertaram ambas indicações de triagem, 10,53% acertaram somente o peso, 28,95% acertaram apenas a IG e 28,95% erraram os dois parâmetros de triagem; Conclusão: O estudo mostrou-se relevante em virtude de mostrar que os médicos pediatras e/ou neonatologistas que atuam na unidade neonatal da FSCMPA não apresentam conhecimento adequado de se triar um RN que tem possibilidade de apresentar ROP ou as diretrizes estabelecidas pela instituição não são seguidas rigorosamente. 2022-12-20T12:34:46Z 2022-12-20T12:34:46Z 2011 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação CARVALHO, Luiz Claudio Portilho de; LIMA, William Cunha Galvão de.
