This Course Conclusion Paper - TCC, is related to the area of Mathematics Education,
and addresses the results of a survey conducted with teachers of Basic Education,
working in Secondary Education in schools in the state network of Castanhal / PA. This
is a qualitative research driven by the question: How is the performance of licensed
teachers in Mathematics in Physics teaching configured? It aimed to promote
reflections on the process of teacher construction, starting from the reality of the initial
training of teachers licensed in Mathematics for teaching practice in Physics. As a
methodology, a field research was used with the application of an open questionnaire,
which was analyzed considering the phenomenological context, from references that
deal with curriculum, teacher training, teaching methodologies, in addition to a dialogue
with the documents officers. From the analyzed data, it was concluded that the
continuing education of teachers licensed in Mathematics who work in the teaching of
Physics is paramount, especially with regard to the lack of practical subjects in the
curriculum of initial training. The lack of teachers with a background in Physics creates
complexity in terms of teaching practice, requiring teachers with degrees in
Mathematics to develop their activities, increasing the need for continuing education. |
