Resumo:
This study examines the impacts caused by Social Capital on players of electronic games called e-Sports, through a database of theoretical references focused on this theme, it aims to analyze and reflect on the literature correlated with Social Capital in what concerns sport and e-Sports players. Electronic collective games gain popularity over time, I think about it, the study focuses on the critic’s points, on the definition of Social Capital, which the great cause of the participatory movement of all the team, spontaneously promotes solidarity, cooperation, tolerance, solidarity and reciprocity, important for social participation in all of an e-Sports community, depending on the relationships, they can be weak (Bridging) and strong (Bonding). E-Sports since its inception with recreational and leisure purposes, to become a sport and its first competition as a sport. Social Capital in the (s)sports field is important because it is what gives profitable access, with investors and service providers and the like, of a team and with that the importance of social capital within e-Sports. To survey the articles on the subject, a search was carried out in the Google Scholar, Sucupira databases in English and Portuguese, with a time horizon of 15 years. Between January to June 2022. It is coordinated by Professor Dr. Carla Rocha Araujo from the Faculty of Physical Education, Federal University of Pará – Campus Belém and Professor Tiago Miguel Ribeiro, from the Faculty of Human Motricity (FMH), from the University of Lisbon. It is concluded, therefore, that social participation is a factor that consequently brings many benefits to e-Sports teams, as they promote a good relationship between players, their civic participation within the team and the commitment given.
