The objective of this work is take a look at the female insertion in the labor market and what difficulties are implied in this search, mainly in areas considered inappropriate for women, such as mathematics, for example. We hope to point out elements of analysis and motivate discussions between girls and young women, mobilizing them to seek academic and professional training. O presente trabalho trata das dificuldades que as mulheres enfrentam quando se veem frente ao mercado de trabalho e como essas ideias de segregação das mulheres se fazem presentes, também na formação inicial dos professores de Matemática, assim como nos espaços escolares. O objetivo deste trabalho é lançar um olhar sobre a inserção feminina no mercado de trabalho e quais dificuldades estão implicadas nessa busca, principalmente em áreas consideradas impróprias para as mulheres como a matemática, por exemplo.
