This article has as its general objective to analyze the environmental impacts caused by unplanned tourism on the beaches of Farol and Amor on the island of Cotijuba-PA, and as specific objectives to understand the high number of tourists on the island; identify the environmental impacts and the increase in garbage caused by tourism on the island and investigate the extent of the tourist impact from the perception of local residents and merchants. Thus, this article is divided into four parts, the first brings the theoretical framework that underpinned this research; the second addresses the study area; the third part discusses the tourist activity in Cotijuba and the results and discussions on the theme; the last part presents the considerations about the theme developed and the possible conclusions about it. |
