Thus, this article is divided into four parts, the first brings the theoretical framework that underpinned this research; the second addresses the study area; the third part discusses the tourist activity in Cotijuba and the results and discussions on the theme; the last part presents the considerations about the theme developed and the possible conclusions about it. Este artigo tem como objetivo geral analisar os impactos ambientais causados pelo turismo não planejado nas praias do Farol e do Amor na ilha de Cotijuba-Pa, e como objetivos específicos compreender o elevado número de turistas na ilha; identificar os impactos ambientais e o aumento do lixo causados pelo turismo na ilha e investigar a dimensão do impacto turístico a partir da percepção dos moradores e comerciantes locais.
