In a Development Company in the Metropolitan Region of Belém (CODAB), many problems were found when carrying out day-to-day tasks common to the network environment. The project was based on Brazilian technical norms, allowing a reorganization and standardization of the existing cabling, together with the implementation of techniques that allow the segmentation and monitoring of the network. At the end of the project implementations, an organized, standardized network was obtained, with all its connections identified, segmented by sector and monitored at various points. Improvements were made to the network that helped in advanced routines and enabled optimization and more security to the network. O cabeamento estruturado junto com as técnicas de segmentação da rede e monitoramento de ativos buscam melhorar o desempenho das atividades que são realizadas por meio da rede de computadores. Em uma Companhia de Desenvolvimento da Região Metropolitana de Belém (CODAB), muitos problemas foram constatados durante a realização de tarefas do dia-a-dia comuns ao ambiente de rede. O projeto foi baseado nas normas técnicas brasileiras, possibilita uma reorganização e padronização no cabeamento existente, juntamente com a implementação de técnicas que permitiram a segmentação e o monitoramento da rede. Ao término das implementações do projeto, obteve-se uma rede organizada, padronizada e com todas as suas conexões identificadas, segmentada por setor e monitorada em diversos pontos.
