Revealing several concepts about environmental education together with postcolonial studies, thus seeking strategies of approaches about the reflections surrounding the environment for students. Thus, a qualitative bibliographic research was carried out, where several works of important authors portraying environmental education as well as postcolonial studies were surveyed. And from the observations, some considerations were made about the role of environmental education in the preservation not only of environmental, but also cultural, where postcolonial studies raise the discussion of local valorization, where it is possible to notice that the local reality is a fundamental factor, because this local study, that is, of what is closest rises with looks to the world, thus achieving changes in reality. From this information, it was possible to reflect on the importance of working the environment using situations close to the reality of individuals, because this provides greater participation of those who feel involved in the process, becoming active in society. Esta pesquisa teve como proposito revelar a importância da educação ambiental no cotidiano da sociedade atual e nos contextos escolares. Revelando diversos conceitos acerca da educação ambiental juntamente aos estudos pós-coloniais, buscando desta forma estratégias de abordagens acerca das reflexões entorno do meio ambiente para com os alunos. Dessa forma, foi realizado uma pesquisa qualitativa de cunho bibliográfico, onde houve o levantamento de diversas obras de importantes autores que retratam a educação ambiental bem como os estudos pós-coloniais. E a partir das observações, realizou-se algumas considerações sobre o papel da educação ambiental na preservação não somente ambiental, mas também cultural, onde os estudos pós-coloniais levantam a discussão da valorização local, onde é possível notar que a realidade local se apresenta como um fator fundamental, pois este estudo local, ou seja, daquilo que é mais próximo se eleva com olhares para o mundo, obtendo assim mudanças na realidade. A partir de tais informações, foi possível realizar-se uma reflexão sobre a importância de se trabalhar o meio ambiente utilizando situações próxima a realidade dos indivíduos, pois isso proporciona maior participação destes que se sente envolvidos no processo, se tornando ativos na sociedade. 2023-03-02T14:37:09Z 2023-03-02T14:37:09Z 2022-12-19 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação COSTA, Suzanny de Freitas.
