The question that moved this research was: what factors related to education in the countryside distance the riverside peasant subject from the classroom? How does the training of teachers who work in riverside schools happen? Tracing the following objectives: to reflect on the education offered to the riverside people and the factors that keep them away from the classroom, causing many not to complete even Elementary School. And, as specific objectives: Identify the reasons why many riverside students are unable to complete the stages of Basic Education; Describe the methodologies used by teachers who work in riverside schools; reflect on the initial training of teachers who work in riverside education in the municipality of Gurupá - Pará. The methodology chosen was a descriptive autobiographical and bibliographic research, as it allows us to carry out reflective analyzes between theoretical approaches and lived experiences, with a qualitative approach, to theoretically endorse this work, I will be using the approaches of some authors such as: Freire ( 1987, 1996) and Hage (2010). Being structured in five chapters, ending with considerations regarding the findings of the research in which I was able to conclude that, despite education being a right for all, validated by official documents, which bring as a state obligation the access and permanence of the student in school, that we cannot attribute the problems of rural education to the teacher alone. However, their training and consequently their performance in a way directed to peasant subjects could alleviate the difficulties in building the learning of these students. Therefore, this practice should be centered on enforcing the construction of knowledge. Esta pesquisa construída em forma de memorial acadêmico, aborda sobre a educação do campo O questionamento que moveu esta pesquisa foi: quais os fatores relacionados a educação no campo afastam o sujeito campesino ribeirinho da sala de aula? Como acontece a formação dos professores que atuam nas escolas ribeirinhas? Traçando os seguintes objetivos :refletir sobre a educação ofertada ao povo ribeirinho e os fatores que os afastam da sala de aula, fazendo com que muitos não concluam nem mesmo o Ensino Fundamental. E, como objetivos específicos: Identificar as razões pelas quais muitos alunos ribeirinhos não conseguem concluir as etapas da Educação Básica; Descrever as metodologias utilizadas pelos professores que atuam nas escolas ribeirinhas; refletir sobre a formação inicial de professores que atuam na educação ribeirinha do Município de Gurupá - Pará. A metodologia escolhida foi uma pesquisa do tipo descritiva autobiográfica e a bibliográfica, pois nos possibilita realizar analises reflexivas entre as abordagens teóricas e as experiências vividas, com abordagem qualitativa, para referendar teoricamente este trabalho, estarei utilizando as abordagens de alguns autores como: Freire (1987, 1996) e Hage (2010). Estando estruturado em cinco capítulos, finalizando com as considerações a respeito dos achados da pesquisa em que pude concluir que, apesar da educação ser um direito de todos, validado pelos documentos oficiais, que trazem como obrigação do estado o acesso e a permanência do aluno na escola, que não podemos atribuir somente ao professor os problemas da educação do campo. Porém, sua formação e consequentemente sua atuação de forma direcionada aos sujeitos campesinos poderia amenizar as dificuldades na construção da aprendizagem desse alunado.
