It was carried out in an observational, crosssectional study, with data collection from the selfapplication of the World Health Organization Questionnaire for Quality of Life Brief Form (WHOQOLbref). A total of 205 undergraduate medical students from the Universidade Federal do Pará participated in the research. The mean age was 23.7 years, most subjects were female (52%) and the predominant selfdeclared color was brown (45%). The majority reported access due to wide competition (61%) and there was a predominance of declared income between 410 minimum wages (37%). In the multivariate analysis, it was found that income, access mode and year of course were correlated with QoL scores. The results obtained make it possible to create strategies for care aimed at the most vulnerable students during graduation, especially those with variables that negatively influence QoL scores. O objetivo do estudo foi caracterizar a qualidade de vida (QV) dos estudantes de medicina, assim como relacionála às características sociodemográficas e o modo de acesso dos estudantes à instituição. Foi realizado de forma observacional, transversal, com coleta de dados a partir da auto aplicação do questionário World Health Organization Questionnaire for Quality of Life Brief Form (WHOQOLbref). Participaram da pesquisa 205 estudantes de graduação de medicina da Universidade Federal do Pará. A média de idade foi de 23,7 anos, sendo a maioria dos sujeitos do sexo feminino (52%) e a cor autodeclarada predominante foi a parda (45%). A maioria referiu acesso por ampla concorrência (61%) e houve predomínio de renda declarada entre 410 salários mínimos (37%). Na análise multivariada, verificouse que a renda, o modo de acesso e o ano de curso apresentaram correlação com os escores de QV.
