Due to increased access policies to higher education and the numerous demands that accompany this increase it is that there is a need to identify factors that may be interfering in academic life, because only after knowing this population is that strategies can be created in search improving occupational performance of the student. This study aimed to identify the main factors that interfere with work performance of college student health and examine how it evaluates the degree of impairment and how these factors reflected in their performance. The methodology was based on a descriptive quantitative approach, carried out at the Institute of Health Sciences (ICS) Campus Bethlehem, the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), through the application of semi ­structured questionnaire with questions concerning perception college student on factors that can interfere with their academic performance and student assistance. The participants were 703 students selected through the sample Stratified Random and Random Sample Simple and sampling error of 4 %. The results showed that most of the answers were female with 73.3 % compared to 26.7 % male, mean age between 19 and 24 years. Semester, students most respondents were those who were between the second and seventh semester. It confirmed the published findings that indicate migration, work, child, disease and mental illness as factors that influence student performance. Among students who were exposed to these factors 82.52 % said that migration had a negative influence on your performance , followed by labor factor with 93.26 % , with 95.45% child factor , factor illness for over a week with more 95% and over 98 % of affected was due to mental illness . Other factors were also mentioned, such as financial difficulty (13.03%), Extensa hours / full degree (11.31%); difficulties in transport and travel (10.95%). The most cited impact is related to the commitment "reasonable" that generated, in most cases, decreased attendance and / or demoted concepts. Through correspondence analysis it was found that students who became ill during graduation mostly also worked, had children, have an illness or psychiatric illness, or receive some form of student assistance offered by the University, as well as students who have had children report also have worked at some point during graduation. The student assistance received 30.87 % of the participants of this research program the scholarship stay MEC (62.62 %) was the most used service. There was, therefore, that the results were significant, corroborating previous findings in the literature and identify other compromising factors also are little discussed in the national scientific community. So can foster reflection of the contribution and role of occupational therapy in identifying actions to minimize factors, negative influencers occupational performance of student health.
