For This, has been done a longitudinal studyng of feature exploratory descriptive observational nature and quantitative approaching of informations. There are 11 childrens in this research between the ages of 1,0 and 2,0 year (On averange= 2,1 DP=3,6), studyng at Elementary School of Caripunas from Belém in the academic year 2017. The Methodology used as activite was the child’s characterization questionnaire (CCQ), to collect information by the biopsychosocial aspects and economic of the Family, The screening test of Denver’s development II (Denver II), to the avaliation of NPMD, the Pediatric Evaluation Of Disability Inventory (PEDI) to the avaliation of dynamic performance of ADL and the annotation diary to complementary informations. The Denver’s II results inform that the most of children show a NPMD delay (54,5%) in time’s 1, with high questionable of delay in time’s 2 (63,6%). It was found statistics divergences between the children’s performance in the PEDI of time’s 1 and 2 in the functional self help skills (p=0,008), in the social function ability (p=0,008) and the caregiver assistance in the areas of self help(p=0,007) and social function (p=0,01). Besides that, the results shows that in the time’s 1, the childrens show a normal NPMD. in Denver’s II, they had a performance higher the mean, in the PEDI’s habilities functions self help (75%) and social function (75%) and in the care of the caregiver in self care (62.5%) and social function (75%). In the time’s 2, it was observed that most of the children that were within the normative score average in Functional Skills and Caregiver Assistance did not have normal NPMD, but when the functional performance of the children above the average was analyzed separately of the normative score with each NPMD domain, it was observed that the majority of the children presented normal NPMD in the social personal, fine engine and wide motor domains, being the smallest percentage in the language domain. The findings point to the importance of the stimulation of child development, within the school context, in order to favor the educational and developmental aspects of the child. In addition, it is necessary to offer an environment appropriate to the needs of the child, which enhances their autonomy, independence and the development of functional skills for engagement in everyday life.It was noted the importance of existence of a group multiprofessional within the context of early childhood education, highlighting the role of the occupational therapist in surveillance, promotion and prevention of risks to development and child functional performance. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo conhecer o desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor e o desempenho funcional nas atividades de vida diária de crianças no início da vida escolar. Para isso, realizou se um estudo longitudinal, de caráter descritivo exploratório, de natureza observacional e abordagem quantitativa dos dados. Participaram desta pesquisa 11 crianças com idade entre 1 a 2 anos (média= 2,1; DP= 3,6), matriculadas no Maternal I da Unidade de Educação Infantil da Caripunas, no município de Belém, no ano letivo de 2017. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: Questionário de Caracterização da Criança (QCC), para coletar dados referentes as suas características biopsicossociais e socioeconômicas da família, o Teste de Triagem do Desenvolvimento de Denver II (Denver II), para a avaliação do DNPM, o Inventário de Avaliação Pediátrica de Incapacidade (PEDI), para a avalição do desempenho funcional nas AVD, e o Diário de Campo, para registar informações complementares. Os resultados do Denver II apontaram que a maioria das crianças apresentou DNPM suspeito de atraso (54,5%) no Tempo 1, com aumento deste percentual de suspeita de atraso no Tempo 2 (63,6%). Foi encontrada diferença estatisticamente significativa entre o desempenho das crianças no PEDI nos tempos 1 e 2 nas áreas Habilidade Funcional de Autocuidado (p=0,008), na Habilidade de Função Social (p= 0,008), e na Assistência do Cuidador nas áreas de autocuidado (p=0,007) e função social (p=0,01). Além disso, os resultados indicaram que, no Tempo 1, a maioria das crianças que apresentaram DNPM normal, no Denver II, tiveram o desempenho funcional acima da média dos escores normativos, no PEDI, nas Habilidades Funcionais de autocuidado (75%) e função social (75%) e na Assistência do Cuidador em autocuidado (62,5%) e em função social (75%). Já no tempo 2, observou se que a maioria das crianças que estavam acima da média dos escores normativos nas Habilidades Funcionais e na Assistência do Cuidador, não possuíram DNPM normal. Entretanto, ao se analisar separadamente o desempenho funcional das crianças que estavam acima da média dos escores normativos com cada domínio do DNPM, observou se que a maioria das crianças apresentou DNPM normal nos domínios pessoal social, motor fino e motor amplo, sendo o menor percentual no domínio da linguagem. Os achados apontam a importância da estimulação do desenvolvimento infantil, dentro do contexto escolar, de modo a favorecer os aspectos educacionais e desenvolvimentais da criança. Além disso, faz se necessário ofertar um ambiente adequado às necessidades da criança, que potencialize sua autonomia, independência e o desenvolvimento das habilidades funcionais para o engajamento na vida cotidiana.
