Resumo:
This work consists of the development of teaching didactic prototypes using the Arduino electronic prototyping platform, aiming to assist in the teaching and learning of the Electromagnetic Theory subject, offered in the Computer Engineering course at the Federal University of Par ́a (UFPA), Castanhal campus. These prototypes were built with low cost material. The use of Arduino in the development of these prototypes is of fundamental importance as an interface for measurements and analysis of physical quantities, such as: the electromagnetic field, the induced current and the voltage acting on the system. Five teaching didactic prototypes were developed: the Oersted experiment, a simple motor, an electromagnetic generator, electromagnets, and a mini Tesla coil. To obtain the results, specific commercial sensors were used for each magnitude in the proposed experiment. In addition, the development of programmable code in the Arduino integrated development environment (IDE) was carried out to enable the exposure of the measurement results of the parameters under analysis. In this way, it became possible to generate graphs and visualize the quantitative results measured by the sensors, through a liquid crystal display (LCD). The development of experiments as pedagogical activities was motivated by Novak’s humanist ideals and Marcos Antˆonio Moreira’s vision of meaningful learning. According to these educators, the effectiveness of technological tools for teaching and learning are excellent methodologies to be addressed in the classroom.
