SAP 2000 is software for structural analysis that uses the finite element method, developed by the American company CSI - Computer & structures Inc. and marketed in Brazil by the company Múltiplos Softwares Técnicos in. The software is widely used to analyze small, medium and large buildings, however, despite being an important analysis and dimensioning tool, it is noted the difficulty of civil engineering students in learning to use it, as well as the shortage of material in Portuguese didactically presenting tutorials to assist in the use of the program, since, as structures evolve, becoming more and more complex, in most situations, resolution by means of calculations analytical. In this way, the present work aims to contribute to reduce these difficulties, presenting a manual of modeling, dimensioning and analysis of metallic structure, in order to generate the adequate profile for each bar, as well as the diagrams of efforts, deflections, shear, reactions and deformed O presente trabalho apresenta um tutorial do SAP 2000 v.16 - Structural Analisys Program, para modelagem, dimensionamento e análise estrutural de um galpão com estrutura em perfis metálicos. O SAP 2000 é um software para análise estrutural que utiliza o método dos elementos finitos, desenvolvido pela empresa americana CSI – Computers&Structures Inc. e comercializado no Brasil pela empresa Multiplus Softwares Técnicos in. O software é vastamente utilizado para analisar edificações de pequeno, médio e grande porte, no entanto, apesar de ser uma importante ferramenta de análise e dimensionamento, nota-se a dificuldade dos alunos de engenharia civil em aprender a usá-lo, assim como a escassez de material em português apresentando, didaticamente, tutoriais para auxiliar na utilização do programa, visto que, com a evolução das estruturas, que estão se tornando cada vez mais complexas, tornou-se, em grande parte das situações, inviável a resolução por meio de cálculos analíticos.
