Resumo:
This research aimed to analyze methods related to the teaching of Financial Mathematics in High School. Bibliographical research was used to list concepts related to the object of study, as well as studies that supported the intended analysis. For this, official documents and scientific productions were analyzed, which similarly point to the need to efficiently meet the contents specified in the BNCC, the need to improve the contents taught and the methods used in the classroom, as well as the search for contextualization of the contents, so that the student perceives the relationship between theory and his daily life, as a way of reinforcing learning and leading him to use this knowledge in a practical way in his present and in his future. The research ends with the proposition of exercises that approach contents related to Financial Mathematics. It is concluded that the improvement of the teaching of Financial Mathematics is directly related to the formation of citizens with a critical sense, capable of understanding the economic scenario in which they are inserted, with greater capacity to exercise their rights and manage their finances.
