Interstitial pneumonia with autoimmune features were defined in 2015 by an
international taskforce, to characterize interstitial lung disease associated with
systemic manifestations limited to subtle autoimmune serologic and clinical
abnormalities, and which do not meet diagnostic criteria for a definite connective tissue
disease. Recent data report the lack of knownledge of the incidence and prevalence
disease worldwide. The objective of this study is to report a case of interstitial
pneumonia with autoimmune features, describe the adopted management and relate
them to those described in the literature; describe the use of periungual dermatoscopy
in Raynaud's phenomenon; describe the finding of "mechanic feet"; and introduce
diagnostic criteria for Interstitial pneumonia with autoimmune features in the national
literature. This is a descriptive study of the case report type, where was used
retrospective information by means of medical records analysis and literature review.
D.B.S, female, 30 years old, diagnosed with interstitial pneumonia with autoimmune
features after not satisfying hypotheses initially proposed. Discusses the clinical
presentation, investigative process, diagnosis, better therapy and use of alternative
methods in the investigative-diagnostic process. We conclude that this is the first study
to report a case of interstitial pneumonia with autoimmune features associated with
"mechanic feet" and to use peringual dermatoscopy, in Brazil. |
