Therefore, this research presents the results of a work presented at the 59th Brazilian Chemistry Congress in the form of an expanded abstract, focusing on the plant species Bertholletia Excelsa, also known as Brazil Nut, one of the most important species in the Amazon, which presents multiple derivatives. In this context, this study explains the processes of extracting the oil from the referred species, with the aim of comparing the results obtained by the manual pressing method with the current literature. This, it is highlighted that the methodology used obtained efficient and satisfactory yields compared to the compared research. O presente trabalho está de acordo Instrução Normativa nº 01/2022 da Pró-reitoria de Graduação da Universidade Federal do Pará, que dispõe sobre a flexibilização nos critérios de normatização de Trabalhos de Conclusão de Curso, em virtude dos impactos decorrentes da pandemia da COVID-19. Sendo assim, esta pesquisa apresenta os resultados de um trabalho apresentado no 59º Congresso Brasileiro de Química na forma de resumo expandido, o enfoque se dá na espécie vegetal Bertholletia excelsa, também conhecida como Castanha-do-Pará, uma das espécies mais importantes da Amazônia, que apresenta múltiplos derivados. Nesse contexto, este estudo explana sobre os processos de extração do óleo da referida espécie, com o intuito de comparar os resultados obtidos pelo método de prensagem manual com a literatura vigente.
