The architecture of the city of Vigia distinguishes itself by presenting colonial traits originating from a Portuguese occupation, without leaving aside the indigenous culture that already belonged to the site. Through documentary analysis and field research, the objective of this study is to disseminate the city and analyze the way in which the architectural heritage is being preserved for the culture of the region has significance for future generations, since the area has sunk peculiarities that need to be preserved. O trabalho propõe uma análise do patrimônio histórico da cidade de Vigia de Nazaré, através de uma abordagem preservacionista, arquitetônica e sociológica. A arquitetura da cidade de Vigia distingue-se por apresentar traços coloniais originários de uma ocupação portuguesa, sem deixar de lado a cultura indígena que já pertencia ao local.
